Green Eggs and Ham

Like many children, C likes the Dr. Seuss book Green Eggs and Ham. He’s not as crazy about it as he used to be (we no longer read it 3+ times per day), but he still likes it, and I think he’s at the age now where he can appreciate something like green eggs for breakfast.

the ingredients

I read on this blog that if you separate the white from the yolk, you can then dye just the yolk using food coloring (so it looks like the eggs in the book). It took me a couple of tries but I was successful (lined my hands with plastic wrap to prevent staining).

The ham is bacon and it’s not green, but I think that’s okay. C wasn’t even that into the bacon (too chewy?) so I ate most of it anyway.
