That’s C’s name for our sourdough starter. I got it at a Sour Flour workshop at the San Francisco Public Library (they also do workshops at La Victoria in the Mission). As part of the workshop, everyone got some of their starter.
C is turning 3! For his birthday he requested blueberry cupcakes. I doubled this recipe to make 30.
This is one of those recipes that is totally mom-blog material. But that’s because it’s easy and good and kids (and adults) like it. There’s no shame in being a mom-blog cook.
Another from 101 Cookbooks. I was looking for recipes to use up all the basil we have (still looking in case you have something…not pesto!).
I almost think I shouldn’t post this because it is so delicious that you will want to just eat it with a spoon, and that can’t be good for you.
I don’t have a picture for this post because I messed up the soba noodles and they were a sticky, goopy mess. Despite this, the sesame soba dish was delicious!
I have been making pie crust for a long time (maybe 20 years!) but have never made a perfect pie crust until last week.
